Faculty – Sound Engineering (Gurugram)

Job Description:

Seamedu is seeking an experienced and technically skilled faculty member in Sound Engineering. The role involves conducting theory and practical sessions, mentoring students on academic projects, and supporting hands-on learning within professional studio environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver theory and practical sessions in Sound Engineering subjects.
  • Coordinate academic planning, course delivery, and semester activities.
  • Prepare lesson plans, course files, assessment materials, and academic documentation.
  • Design and review curriculum, Course Outcomes, and academic resources.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and coordinate examinations.
  • Mentor students in academics, projects, internships, and career development.
  • Prepare faculty workload, class timetables, and laboratory schedules.
  • Coordinate with faculty, ERP, Examination Cell, and university departments for academic processes.
  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of audio studios, laboratories, and technical resources.
  • Organize workshops, guest lectures, industry interactions, and student engagement activities.
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance requirements through timely documentation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with studios, production houses, broadcasters, music labels, and audio professionals to facilitate internships, guest sessions, live projects, and placements.

Specific Skill Set:

  • Strong knowledge of recording, mixing, production audio and studio workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in Pro Tools is preferred. Working knowledge of Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, or similar DAWs will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Prior teaching, academic coordination, or industry experience in Sound Engineering will be preferred.

Minimum/Maximum Work Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in the Audio Industry.
  • Prior academic or training experience will be an added advantage.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or PG Diploma in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Music Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree holders preferred.
