Faculty – Sound Engineering (Gurugram)
Job Description:
Seamedu is seeking an experienced and technically skilled faculty member in Sound Engineering. The role involves conducting theory and practical sessions, mentoring students on academic projects, and supporting hands-on learning within professional studio environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver theory and practical sessions in Sound Engineering subjects.
- Coordinate academic planning, course delivery, and semester activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, course files, assessment materials, and academic documentation.
- Design and review curriculum, Course Outcomes, and academic resources.
- Conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and coordinate examinations.
- Mentor students in academics, projects, internships, and career development.
- Prepare faculty workload, class timetables, and laboratory schedules.
- Coordinate with faculty, ERP, Examination Cell, and university departments for academic processes.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of audio studios, laboratories, and technical resources.
- Organize workshops, guest lectures, industry interactions, and student engagement activities.
- Support accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance requirements through timely documentation and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with studios, production houses, broadcasters, music labels, and audio professionals to facilitate internships, guest sessions, live projects, and placements.
Specific Skill Set:
- Strong knowledge of recording, mixing, production audio and studio workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in Pro Tools is preferred. Working knowledge of Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, or similar DAWs will be an added advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Prior teaching, academic coordination, or industry experience in Sound Engineering will be preferred.
Minimum/Maximum Work Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in the Audio Industry.
- Prior academic or training experience will be an added advantage.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or PG Diploma in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Music Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree holders preferred.
